The biggest entertainment sports event in the world, WrestleMania 39, will take place tonight (between Saturday and Sunday) at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, and will be split into two nights. In fact, WrestleMania is considered the flagship event of the WWE, since it first took place in 1985. The event is ranked sixth in the list of the most valued sports events in the United States, and has often been described as the “Super Bowl of entertainment sports”. The organization’s wrestler, The Miz, will serve as host on the two split nights.
In the era after icons such as the Undertaker, Triple H and Shawn Michaels, as well as the departure of many stars in recent years such as Daniel Bryan, Chris Jericho, John Moxley (Dean Ambrose), the most popular wrestlers in the world will compete on the biggest stage of all.
Even this year, the WWE is not giving up Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey from the former UFC organization, as part of the main wrestlers of the event. Brock Lesnar is still in the high profile fight pictures and will face Omus for a singles match. The wrestler Edge, who came back from retirement in recent years and shows impressive ability in the ring, will meet Finn Balor for a hell of a cage fight.
In the main fight of the event and for the WWE Championship, Roman Reigns, the undefeated champion of the organization in recent years, will compete, together with Paul Heyman and Cody Rhodes, the winner of the recent Royal Rumble and who returned to the organization after years of exile. In another intriguing match, legendary Hall of Fame wrestler Rey Mysterio will meet his son Dominic for a singles match and a finale.
