Today, Wednesday, the Chinese Ambassador to Iraq, Cui Wei, spoke about 8 files related to Iraq, including entry visas and the path of development, while praising the person of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani and his government for succeeding in bringing about urban change in a number of governorates.

The Chinese ambassador said in a statement to a number of media outlets, including the (INA), that “the results of the framework agreement between Iraq and China are beneficial to both countries,” noting that “the Iraqi government is working to benefit from its resources, and we provide it with continuous advice.”

He added, “Many schools were delivered according to the framework agreement,” indicating that “the path of development is an important path for developing the country and improving its capabilities.”

He added: “Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani spoke about the importance of the development path, which is consistent with the Belt and Road Initiative,” explaining that “the Chinese side supports Iraq in completing realistic projects.”

He pointed out that “the development path and the Belt and Road Initiative are identical and there is no difference between them, and we hope for progress and success from this project and we support it,” stressing that “China and the Prime Minister agree that both projects are harmonious.”

He explained, “We have the intention to provide support to Iraq regarding armament and developing military capabilities, as cooperation in the military aspect is new between the two countries,” adding, “The Iraqi government is continuing with us in implementing school projects and we have expressed our approval to implement any project it desires regarding schools, and by the end of this year more than 600 schools will be built.”

He added: “The volume of electric car exports to Iraq has begun to rise, reaching 20,000 last year, and in 2024 it has reached 23,000,” noting that “during this year we have granted many facilities regarding entry visas for all citizens wishing to study and receive treatment, and they are not limited to diplomats and businessmen only, and we have directed all our consulates in the governorates to provide all facilities for those wishing to obtain entry visas to China.”

He pointed out that “China is keen to support Iraq and train cadres in the important joint, which is artificial intelligence,” adding that “the volume of trade exchange between Iraq and China last year amounted to 49.7 billion US dollars, and 27 billion US dollars during the first half of this year, and China is the largest importer of oil and exporter in various fields.”“.

He pointed out that “the government of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani succeeded in bringing about urban change in a number of governorates, and the person of al-Sudani is considered positive in achieving more progress, and he is the reason for what Iraq has achieved internally and externally,” calling for “continuing the progress and success that Iraq has achieved internally and externally thanks to this government.”
