The proposed ministerial lineup for the 14th government, which was submitted to the Presidium of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, awaiting a vote of confidence, included:
Foreign Affairs: Abbas Araghchi
Intelligence: Esmail Khatib
Interior: Eskandar Momeni
Defense: Aziz Nasirzadeh
For other ministries, the proposed individuals are:
Education: Alireza Kazemi
Communications: Sattar Hashemi
Economy: Abdolnaser Hemmati
Health: Mohammad Reza Zafarghandi
Labor: Ahmad Midari

While the list includes only one woman, Farzaneh Sadegh, many Iranians had hoped the new president would introduce reforms to the government.
Pezeshkian also proposed Mohsen Paknejad for the Oil Ministry and Abbas Aliabadi for Energy.
The competence of the proposed ministers will be reviewed by the deputies in parliamentary committees this week and in the plenary hall of the Islamic Consultative Assembly starting next week.
The Presidium of the Islamic Consultative Assembly announced that the discussion and verification of the qualifications of the proposed ministers will take place in two batches on August 17 in a general session of the Islamic Consultative Assembly.
The proposed ministers are also scheduled to be voted on in the Islamic Consultative Assembly on Wednesday, August 21, to give confidence to the 14th government.
The Vice President for Political Affairs, Mohammad Jafar Ghaem Panah, emphasized that the new government includes representatives from all political movements in the country and that the Presidency has laid the groundwork for implementing plans based on public satisfaction and respecting human dignity.
