Since 2020, the Federal Revenue has made it possible for taxpayers to access income consultations through the Virtual Taxpayer Service Center (e-CAC) portal.

To access, just use the access code or single login (Gov.Br account), already adopted by the institution for authentication in the portal. With access released, the taxpayer is able to access the income report in the option “Declarations and Statements”, service: “Consulta Income Informed by Paying Sources”.

Report income

The Income Report is a way of attesting whether the worker and the employer declared the amount correctly. It serves as proof for the Income Tax declaration and is also a tax document that proves compliance with the taxpayer’s tax obligations. It is therefore a document that helps in the inspection of the Federal Revenue.

It contains all the information on the amounts received and paid during the base year. That is, the document issued in 2023 must contain receipts related to the same paying source, between January 1st and December 31st, 2022.

In addition, it must be issued whenever the source settles the amounts that are subject to withholding tax, indicating the payments made (even exempt ones).

Another use for this document is in proof of income for credit assessment when applying for loans, financing, cards and other financial services.
