During the day of February 24, after Russia launched what the country’s leadership called a “special operation in Ukraine,” residents in the Russian regions began to take to the streets in anti-war protests. In St. Petersburg, citizens stood in single pickets, in connection with which at least seven people were detained. At 6 pm, a centralized action began near Gostiny Dvor, condemning the actions of the military on the territory of Ukraine.
