Abarca stated that 26% of the Spanish population has private insurance and provision, “there is no no company in Spain that it has as many users as private healthcare».
The survey, carried out between April and May 2022, has evaluated the level of satisfaction but, in addition, the perception of Spaniards, with or without private healthcare, is assessed on aspects such as financing of the health system, interoperability or equity, globally considering the private sector as part of the system.
“The healing no surnames it is being born among the population; the private system is increasingly integrated and that is reassuring”, he explained Martha VillanuevaGeneral Director of the IDIS Foundation.
According to the answers obtained in the survey, having equitable (96.4%) and innovative (96.9%) healthcare are key aspects for improving healthcare globally.
In fact, as the general director of the IDIS Foundation points out, Martha Villanueva «95.2% of Spaniards see it as necessary or quite necessary for the Government to increase the resources allocated to health and sanitation».
Likewise, the report indicates that 96.9% of those surveyed believe that it is necessary to promote the development and implementation of the innovations that science offers to improve access to healthcare, waiting times and patient care.
On the other hand, 95.5% of the total population sees it as necessary or very necessary for there to be interoperable systems that allow communication and the exchange of records and medical tests between professionals. For Marta Villanueva, “the medical record belongs to that person, not the institution that generates it.”
