Indian Navy rescues 15 Indian sailors from hijacked Liberian cargo ship

New Delhi – In a daring rescue operation, the Indian Navy successfully rescued 15 Indian sailors who were trapped in a hijacked Liberian cargo ship by Somali pirates off the coast of Somalia.

The incident took place in the Arabian Sea region, where attacks on merchant ships have been on the rise. The Indian Navy swiftly responded to the distress call and managed to safely rescue the sailors from the clutches of the pirates.

This comes in the wake of increased attacks on merchant ships in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea, as well as escalating attacks on Houthi forces in the region. Commander Harikumar of the Indian Navy stated that in light of the recent Bagheer incident, where a ship was hijacked by Somali pirates, four Arabian Sea Navy ships have been deployed to prevent further attacks on merchant ships.

The Indian Navy has been ordered to take strict action against pirates in the Arabian Sea region, and efforts are underway to ensure the safety and security of merchant ships navigating through these waters.

The successful rescue of the 15 Indian sailors is a testament to the swift and efficient response of the Indian Navy in safeguarding the lives of its citizens and ensuring the protection of merchant ships in the region.
