At the beginning it was the series with “those of the House of Paper” (Maria Pedraza, Miguel Herran, Jaime Lorente). But Elite, yet another Spanish hit on Netflix, took little to gain its autonomy. The plot: three students from humble families enter the exclusive private high school Las Encinas, frequented by the offspring of the very high society of Madrid. The relationships and contrasts between very different boys form the backbones of the series, touching on themes such as drugs, religion, sexuality and racism. But each of the three seasons already available on the platform revolves around a crime: a murder in the first, a disappearance in the second and another murder in the third. From today the fourth season of Elite is also available on Netflix, preceded by four mini-episodes that tell what happened to the protagonists after graduation.
