Mumbai: In the second Test against New Zealand (India vs New Zealand 2nd Test), there is confusion over whether wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha will play for India. Only before the match will Team India make the final decision on whether Saha, who missed the second innings of the Kanpur Test due to a neck muscle injury, will play at Wankhede Stadium Mumbai. The second Test between India and New Zealand starts tomorrow at Wankhede.

‘The decision will be made only when we are close to the competition. Team physio coach Rahul Dravid talks to captain Virat Kohli. Despite his injury in the Kanpur Test, Saha put in an outstanding performance with the bat. There are a lot of positive aspects to take from the first Test. Of course we did not win the match, but we are happy to see a tough fight and sometimes misfortune will come, ”said Indian bowling coach Paras Mabre.

On the third and final day of the first Test against New Zealand, KS Bharat replaced Wriddhiman Sahai with the wicketkeeper’s glove for India. On the second day of the Kanpur Test, Wriddhiman Sahai suffered a neck injury while keeping 55 overs. But despite the injury, Saha stunned everyone on the fourth day with a smashing half-century. Saha, who scored 61 off 126 balls in the second innings, led India to victory with Shreyas Iyer.

Though Saha did not play in the second Test in Mumbai, the Indian playing XI has changed. Virat Kohli, who did not play in Kanpur, will return to the Indian team. Ajinkya Rahane, who is in poor form when Kohli arrives, is likely to be dropped from the playing XI. Shreyas Iyer, who scored a century and a half in his debut in Kanpur, is expected to retain his place in the team.
