Hardik Pandya replaced Harshal Patel who took two wickets in the first match and gave Arshdeep a chance.

Former Indian cricket team opener Gautam Gambhir said that a player recovering from an injury should never play international matches directly. After playing local competitions and finding the rhythm, one should participate in international competitions. Because no-balls are never considered a permissible error, Gambhir told Star Sports after the match.
