IND VS SL Arshdeep Singh No Ball Ex Indian Cricketers Slams Left Arm Pacer Should Not Be Playing an International Game | IND vs SL : Five no-balls in one match; Former Indian players against Arshdeep Singh

by time news

If it was the Indian pace line that saved India against Sri Lanka on Wankhede, it was the same line that defeated India in the second Twenty20 in Pune. Indian pacers bowled seven no-balls. Arshdeep Singh bowled five of them in just two overs. Former players and selectors have come forward to criticize India’s left-arm pacer for throwing unnecessary no-balls. Former Indian players accused Arshdeep of committing a mistake that a professional player should never commit.

The player bowled only two overs in the match. Arshdeep bowled five no-balls from those 12 balls. This is the reason for the criticism against the left-handed pacer. The player, who was away from the Indian team for a long time due to illness during the T20 World Cup, bowled the second T20 against Lanka for the first time. Hardik Pandya replaced Harshal Patel who took two wickets in the first match and gave Arshdeep a chance.

Former Indian cricket team opener Gautam Gambhir said that a player recovering from an injury should never play international matches directly. After playing local competitions and finding the rhythm, one should participate in international competitions. Because no-balls are never considered a permissible error, Gambhir told Star Sports after the match.

This should never be done as a professional star. Former India player Sunil Gavaskar said that not bowling no balls is a restriction that the bowlers must make. After the match, some people said that some things were not under their control, but not bowling no-balls was under the control of the bowlers, Sunil Gavaska clarified in a discussion organized by Star Sports.

No balls are never affordable in T20 cricket. That and not one or two, many no-balls were thrown by the Indian players against Lanka. Saba Karim, the former selector of the Indian cricket team, told India News that India conceded nearly 30 runs to Lanka through those no-balls.

The Indian pacers bowled seven no-balls in the match and conceded 27 runs. India lost the match by 16 runs. Apart from Arshdeep, Shivam Mavi and Umran Malik were the other players who bowled no-balls in the last over.
