Kolkata: Team India will start the T20 series against the West Indies (IND vs WI) today. The match will be played at Eden Gardens at 6.30pm. India are 1-0 up in the three – match series. The Windies are trying to make a comeback. In the event of a complete defeat in the ODI series, they need a comeback.
Rohit is set to win his third series since becoming the official captain. Under Rohit, India won the ODI series against the Windies following the T20 series against the Kiwis. There are two possible changes in the Indian team. After checking Deepak Chahar and Venkatesh Iyer, add them to the team.
Deepak was injured while fielding against a shot by West Indies captain Kieron Pollard. The star then had to leave. But the general assessment is that Venkatesh Iyer’s injury is not that bad. Venkatesh was injured while fielding. But he batted and contributed to the team’s victory. In case of injury, Shardul Thakur and Deepak Hooda are likely to join the team. No other changes are likely to be made to the team.
Young leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi put on a remarkable performance. He also won the Man of the Match award for conceding just 17 runs in four overs. Pratheeksha Bishnoi will also be in the squad for the second ODI.
