InDEA 2.0: `One Country One Digital ID ‘- What does the federal government’s new plan say? | Central government looking to implement integrated digital identity system

by time news

Following the one country, one identity, one country, one election, it has been reported that the federal government is currently launching a new initiative called One Country One Digital ID. The Central Government is developing a plan on how Aadhar was introduced as a common identity card for all the people in India, as well as digitally using all our documents under a single ID. This means that not only the federal government but also the state government identification documents can be used with a single digital ID.

Digital ID

The purpose of this scheme is to provide a unique digital ID to each individual by linking all the identity documents such as Aadhar, Passport, Ban Card that we have. It is stated that the Aadhaar number on our Aadhaar card is unique and belongs to us only, as well as this digital ID is a unique digital identity that is unique to us.

If we want to get any service digitally in India we can do it using this unique digital ID of ours. Also, even if we need to use any of the Aadhar, Passport and Ban Card, we can still use it with our digital ID. That is, even if we have multiple bank accounts, we can keep them and transfer money through UPI with our mobile number, as well as with a single digital ID so that we can use what is needed in our documents wherever needed.
