On October 2, 1958, Guinea made history by becoming the first French-speaking nation in Africa to gain independence. On that day, our founding fathers traced the path to a free, sovereign Guinea and master of its destiny. Today, 66 years later, we celebrate not only their legacy, but also the progress they have made in building a strong and prosperous nation.
Under the visionary leadership of President of the Republic, General Mamadi DoumbouyaGuinea looks to the future with a renewed ambition: to provide our country with modern and sustainable infrastructure which will be the basis of economic and social development. This new era is marked by an unwavering determination to improve the life of every Guinean, starting with the development of our infrastructure, true engines of growth.
Modernizing Guinea: Roads at the heart of renewal
Since I have had the honor of leading the National Directorate of Urban Roadsmy mission is clear: modernize our roads to meet the growing needs of our cities. With the unwavering support of President Mamadi Doumbouyawe have adopted a pragmatic approach, focused on concrete results. Each kilometer of renovated road, each newly created lane is another step towards a more modern and more competitive Guinea.
Road infrastructure is much more than roads: they are arteries of development. A modern road network facilitates mobility, boosts productivity and strengthens economic attractiveness. It is a fast track to progress, connecting citizens to essential services such as hospitals, schools, and boosting the economy by providing businesses with better access to markets.
A national momentum: Concrete projects for all of Guinea**
In Conakry and in several towns in the interior such as Tougué, Kindia, Mali, Lélouma, Lola and Koundarawe have launched large-scale projects to open up strategic areas and facilitate access to essential services. Rehabilitation projects and the creation of new roads have transformed urban and rural mobility, breathing new life into previously isolated regions.
This is just the beginning. Our vision is to make our infrastructure the spearhead of Guinean renewal. Investments in roads and roads are not only an improvement in immediate living conditions, but a real preparation for the future. By building sustainable infrastructure, we offer each citizen an environment conducive to development and prosperity.
Recognition and commitment: Together for a stronger Guinea
These advances are the fruit of the hard work of the teams of the Ministry of Public Works, brilliantly led by Mr. Abdoulaye Mahamadou Diallo. Together, we overcame the challenges with an unshakeable conviction: Guinea deserves the best. I pay sincere tribute to all those who work every day to transform this vision into reality.
On this day of national celebration, I strongly reaffirm my commitment and that of the entire team of the National Directorate of Urban Roads to continue this noble mission. Under the enlightened guidance of President Doumbouyawe will build a Guinea that is stronger, more united and resolutely turned towards the future.
Long live Guinea! Long live the CNRD! Long live independence!
Abdoul Aziz Diallo
