The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) ended the second business day of the week on Monday (April 1) with major declines in indices. On this day, the rise of the index was observed at the beginning of the trading in both the capital markets, but it ended in decline at the end. On this day, compared to the previous working day, the amount of money traded in DSE has increased slightly, but it has decreased in CSE. However, the prices of shares of most companies and units of mutual funds fell on both the stock exchanges.

According to the market review, on this day the trading of the rising index started. However, after 10 minutes of trading, the bullish index started to fall. After 50 minutes of trading, the index fell to a bearish position.
At the end of the day, the main index of DSE, DSEX, was down 68.32 points from the previous day at 5,761 points. The DSE Shariah index fell 14.66 points to 1,251 points and the DS30 index fell 13.95 points to 2,077 points.
A total of 397 shares and units of companies were traded on DSE. Among them, the share and unit prices of 47 companies increased, 315 decreased and 35 remained unchanged.
A total of Tk 468 crore 82 lakh shares and units were traded in DSE on this day. 467 crore worth of shares and units were traded in the previous working day.
On the other hand, Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) CSCX is down 73.18 points to 9 thousand 925 points. Overall index CASPI decreased by 118.95 points to 16 thousand 509 points, Sharia index decreased by 5.33 points to 1 thousand 74 points and CSE30 index decreased by 35.35 points to 12 thousand 661 points.
On the day, shares and units of 216 companies were traded on CSE. Among them, the share and unit prices of 52 companies increased, 146 decreased and 18 remained unchanged.
At the end of the day, shares and units worth Tk 8 crore 16 lakh were traded in CSE. Shares and units of Tk 11 crore 92 lakh were traded on the previous working day.
