Among these high-impact interventions, carried out within the framework of the “Reduction of territorial and social disparities in rural areas” program, in order to facilitate access for local populations to various basic services, it is worth mentioning the drinking water supply project for the douars Bouhouta, Tlat Margen, Toufsirine, Oraken and Tasseloumt, in the commune of Aghouatim.
This project, which has benefited more than 2,500 people, aims to improve the living conditions of populations in precarious situations in disadvantaged douars who suffer from a deficit in terms of drinking water, electrification and access to health and education services.
Funded by the INDH, this project, whose overall cost is estimated at 633,120 DH, also aims to ensure integrated territorial development and guarantee convergence with other programs implemented in this direction.
In a statement to M24, the MAP continuous news television channel, Saïd Sabir, member of the “Tlat Margen” Association and one of the beneficiaries of this project, highlighted the impact of this extremely important intervention, carried out within the framework of the INDH, on the living conditions of the populations by ensuring their supply of this vital material.
Some 12,000 meters of new high-quality pipes with an estimated lifespan of more than twenty years were built by the INDH, said the associative actor, noting that the inhabitants of the commune of Aghouatim noticed the difference in the quality and flow of water after the completion of the project.
For her part, Mrs. Habiba Boukho, also a beneficiary of the project, welcomed, in a similar statement, this action which allowed households in her douar to access this vital material and this important service, expressing the wish to see another similar project implemented in terms of water intended for agricultural irrigation, which will contribute to the development of the region which depends heavily on agriculture.
