INDH in Essaouira: More than 144 MDH for the boost of the human capital of rising generations during the period 2019-2022

These projects, approved by the Provincial Committee for Human Development (CPDH) as part of program 4 of this large-scale social project, focused mainly on the areas of health and education, with a particular focus on preschool, according to data from the Social Action Division (DAS) at the provincial prefecture.

The number of beneficiaries of these various interventions amounts to 173,130 people in the 57 municipalities of this predominantly rural province, according to the DAS figures revealed during a visit by the governor of the province, Adil El Maliki, to Dar Al Omouma in Aït Daoud, on the occasion of the celebration of the 24th anniversary of the accession of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to the Throne of His glorious ancestors.

These actions aim in particular at promoting maternal and child health, particularly in rural areas, improving the school environment (accommodation structures, school transport, etc.) and strengthening preschool, through the multiplication of units dedicated to this type of education, in addition to supporting cultural, sporting and extracurricular activities, the same source underlines.

It should be noted that 33 additional projects, with a total value of more than 33 MDH, were approved by the CPDH of Essaouira within the framework of the various programs of phase III of the INDH for the current year, including 6 concerning the program inherent in the boosting of the human capital of rising generations, for an investment estimated at 4.1 MDH.
