An ambitious woman and talented pastry chef, Ms. Allali, 41, was among the first beneficiaries of financial support and guidance under the “Improving Income and Economic Inclusion of Youth” (ARIEJ) program established as part of the third phase of the INDH (2019-2023).
Nearly four years ago, this baking enthusiast was making do with whatever resources she had to support her family, her husband having lost his job. Then everything changed.
Thanks to the training and coaching provided by the Prefectural Center for Entrepreneurship Support in Mohammedia, and through financial aid, Ms. Allali was able to develop her cooperative “Al Badr Al Jamil” (The Beautiful Moon), which now has six employees and loyal customers.
“The support of the INDH was particularly decisive. The National Initiative completely changed my life. In addition to the financial aid, it helped me acquire new skills, especially in management,” emphasizes Souad Allali. And she added, in a statement to MAP: “The post-creation support that lasted two years allowed me to further develop the cooperative and open up to new horizons.”
“Today I am trying to pass on my know-how to other women, in order to help them take charge of their lives and become emancipated. The INDH, as a lever for social development, offers promising prospects for improving the standard of living,” she noted.
In addition to support and guidance, the “Al Badr Al Jamil” cooperative benefits from its participation in fairs continuously organized by the National Initiative for Human Development on a national scale, aimed at encouraging the marketing of local production.
Since 2021, 115 people have benefited from the INDH subsidy for the Entrepreneurship axis in Mohammedia, according to statistics provided by the city’s prefecture.
The “ARIEJ” program is based on a new generation of youth economic inclusion projects. Under this program, social innovation platforms dedicated to young people have been implemented at the level of all provinces, acting as crossroads of interaction between the different stakeholders working for the integration of young people.
