INDH in Rehamna: Holiday camp in Souria Kdima for the benefit of the brilliant boarding students of Dour Talib and Taliba

Souiria Kdima (Safi province) – A total of 120 boarding students from Dour Talib and Taliba in the province of Rehamna, who have excelled in their studies for the 2023-2024 school year, are benefiting from a summer camp, organized until August 7 in Souria Kdima (Safi province), with the support of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH).

Initiated by the Association “Baoussala” for Culture and Communication and the National Association for Education and Culture, this summer camp is part of the “Caravane de proximité” project, funded by the Provincial Committee for Human Development (CPDH) of Rehamna, to promote the services of Dour Talib and Taliba (student houses), particularly in the field of cultural, socio-educational and sports activities. During this summer camp, which benefits students from the different territorial municipalities of the province of Rehamna, the organizers have concocted a rich and varied program, with theater, music, gardening and learning workshops, sports and fun activities and artistic and cultural evenings. The program also includes activities for the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Throne Day, the “Olympic Day” which will see the organization of many sports competitions and the “Popular Day” to celebrate Moroccan heritage, in addition to spaces dedicated to psychological support and digital. In a statement to MAP, the secretary general of the administration of this summer camp, Rachid Kabli, explained that this colony of “excellence” is the culmination of an important project of socio-cultural animation and support for local services for the benefit of the residents of Dour Talib and Taliba in the province of Rehamna. In this context, he stressed that the activities scheduled throughout this summer camp focus mainly on training, awareness-raising and entertainment, in addition to various evenings dedicated in particular to the presentation and promotion of cultural heritage. He also expressed the wish to see this kind of initiatives multiply in the future in order to offer the opportunity to the greatest number of students in the province to benefit from it. For his part, Imad Al Zouhri, president of the national association for education and culture, indicated, in a similar statement, that this colony, organized within the framework of the National Program of Summer Camps, launched by the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, in partnership with the National Federation of Summer Camps (FNCV), aims to encourage excellence and highlight the efforts of students who distinguished themselves during the 2023-2024 school year. And to note that the program of this summer camp includes a series of workshops to enrich the knowledge of students, fun activities in preparation for the next school year, and others organized in partnership with the Provincial Directorate of Youth, Culture and Communication in Safi, as part of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Throne Day, through a carnival on the beach of Souiria Kdima. For his part, Abdelhafid Marjani, provincial director of Youth, Culture and Communication (youth department), stressed that this summer camp is a source of motivation for other students to work hard to achieve good academic results and, therefore, benefit from similar experiences. He also welcomed the support of the INDH in order to create the conditions conducive to the success of this summer camp, welcoming the efforts made by the supervisors in proposing an integrated educational project for the benefit of the children, and the role of Dour Talib and Taliba at the provincial level in order to help students excel in their studies. For their part, beneficiary students expressed their joy in taking part in this summer camp, which allowed them to benefit from educational and entertainment activities after a long school year.
