Launched as part of program 4 of the INDH “Improving the human capital of rising generations”, this project is the result of a partnership between the INDH and the provincial directorate of National Education, preschool and sports, .
The objective of this project is to promote the academic success of primary school students in rural areas through the development of their knowledge and to offer them maximum chances of academic success.
Fully funded by the INDH, the project targets students in the primary education cycle from the 3rd year to the 6th year, in the two subjects: French language and mathematics, it concerns all rural territorial communes of the Rehamna province (namely 23 municipalities).
The association managing the project is called upon to set up this system for a period of 3 years and ensures the development of an educational program aimed at improving skills, recruiting and training teachers and facilitators, giving courses free support.
A partnership agreement is signed to this effect between the INDH, the association and the provincial directorate of National Education, preschool and sports, the amount of which amounts to 4,500,000DH spread over two years.
“The launch of this second edition of the school support project has seen total coverage of the rural environment and the involvement of all rural territorial communes of the province and will allow students from the 3rd primary year up to the 6th year to improve their level of learning in two important subjects during their school career: math and French”, underlined Ms. Jinane Mouftakir, head of the province’s Communication department.
By way of conclusion, she wanted to explain that the objective this year is to target more than 8,200 beneficiaries in rural areas, while the number of beneficiary students was around 5,000 during the previous school year.
