Bengaluru: Today was like a nightmare for the Indian cricket team. He was bowled out by New Zealand for just 46 runs in the first innings on the second day of the Bengaluru Test. This is his lowest score in any Test played in India, while the third lowest score overall. On the second day of the rain-affected first cricket test against New Zealand, India had lost six wickets for 34 runs till lunch, while Pant was out after this and the team kept losing wickets continuously. The interesting thing is that New Zealand used only 3 bowlers in this innings and all three were fast bowlers. Earlier, on the official second day of the match, Indian team captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first, which was a good result for his team. Proved to be the worst. In overcast conditions, the Kiwi bowlers destroyed the Indian top order in the very first hour. When the game started after the rain stopped, India lost the wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal (13). Rohit Sharma (2) was sent to the pavilion by Tim Southee while young William O’Rourke took the wicket of Virat Kohli (0). Sarfaraz Khan (0) could last for three balls and KL Rahul (0) could last for six balls. Ravindra Jadeja returned without opening the account.
The biggest score for the Indian team is in the name of Rishabh Pant. He scored 20 runs in 49 balls, while 2 fours came from his bat. Apart from him, Yashasvi Jaiswal was the second batsman to cross double figures. He scored only 13 runs. On the other hand, for New Zealand, Matt Henry took 5 wickets for 15 runs, while William A Rourke took 4 wickets for 22 runs.
