The US Consulate in Mumbai, in collaboration with the Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (MCCIA) in central India, launched the first-ever US-India cybersecurity program aimed at strengthening IT ties between the two countries. The initiative aims to bring together leading cybersecurity experts around the world to create jobs and develop cutting-edge solutions, he said.

“Cyber ​​issues are a priority in the U.S.-India bilateral relationship. The challenge facing the two countries is to minimize cybersecurity threats and ensure that the digital revolution contributes to global prosperity and stability,” Hankey said.

The US-India Cyber ​​Security Center will collaborate with research institutions and civil society to improve cyber protection of infrastructure and sensitive information, the consul said.

MCCIA CEO Prashant Girbane, in turn, stated the strategic importance of this joint initiative for citizens, businesses and governments.
