India banned by FIFA: Blasters-UAE matches in limbo

by time news

Dubai: Due to the ban imposed by FIFA on India, the pre-season matches of Kerala Blasters to be held in the UAE are uncertain. The Blasters team, which arrived in Dubai, received an enthusiastic welcome despite concerns that the match would be cancelled.

Kerala Blasters’ preseason matches against various clubs in the UAE are scheduled to take place from August 20 to 28. For this, a 26-member Blasters team led by coach Ivan Vukuminovic arrived in Dubai. But the information received by the organizers is that there is little possibility of the match taking place due to the expulsion of the Indian Football Association by FIFA. It is indicated that the UAE Football Association has given a letter in this regard to Dubai Al Nasir Club, Dibba FC and Hatta Club, which should not be exchanged with Blasters.

If the match does not take place, the team plans to train and return using the facilities in Dubai. Even if the first matches are suspended, the team is hopeful that the crisis will be over and the matches will be held from the 25th of this month. Ticket sales were active for the matches scheduled to be held with the participation of thousands. If the match does not take place, the ticket amount will have to be refunded. The Kerala Blasters team arrived at the Dubai airport at 11:30 this morning for the matsams.
