India defeats Afghanistan in semi-finals of Under-19 Asia Cup In the last group match, India defeated Afghanistan by four wickets. Batting first, India were bowled out for 260 by Afghanistan, but the lower order kept the momentum going. Score: Afghanistan 259 for four in 50 overs. India 262 for six in 48.2 overs.

Opener Harnoor Singh is India’s top scorer. He scored 65 off 74 balls with nine fours. Raj Bawa (43 *), Kaushal Tambe (35 *), Rajvardhan Hunger Gaker (35) and skipper Yash Dhool (26) were also instrumental in the victory. After losing the toss and opting to bat, the Afghan was bowled out for fifty by two middle – order batsmen.

Ijaz Ahmed was the team’s top scorer with 86 not out. Captain Sulaiman Safi scored 73 runs. India reached the semifinals as runners-up in the group with four points from three matches, including two wins and one defeat. Pakistan are the group champions after winning all three of their matches. India lost to Pakistan.
