New Delhi: 19 countries in the Indian Ocean region participated in a recent meeting organized by an organization associated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China. India refused to participate.

The China International Development Cooperation Organization (CITCA), which is associated with the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held a meeting on the 21st.

19 countries participated in the meeting held in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China.

Countries including Indonesia, Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives, Nepal, Afghanistan, Iran, Oman, South Africa, Kenya, Mozambique, Tanzania, Seychelles, Madagascar, Mauritius, Djibouti, Australia participated in this meeting.

In this, China has proposed to establish a maritime disaster prevention and mitigation cooperation mechanism between China and the countries in the Indian Ocean region.
