India-China Military Clash: On the 9th, the Indian Army repulsed the Chinese troops who tried to enter the Tawang area on the border of Arunachal Pradesh. Then there was a conflict between the two sides. After a series of attacks by Indian soldiers, the Chinese troops retreated. Thus, the infiltration attempt was foiled.

Opposition Question in Rajya Sabha: Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh gave an explanation in Parliament on the 13th about this conflict. However, he did not respond to the opposition’s questions on this. In this case, the opposition parties are constantly raising this issue. When Parliament convened today, Leader of Opposition Mallikarjuna Kharge read a statement in the Rajya Sabha. He mentioned that the issue of India-China border conflict is related to the security of the country and the opposition parties have the right to know the complete information about it. He questioned why the government is avoiding a discussion on this.

Prime Minister’s request for submission of report: Earlier, Congress M.P. Randeep Singh Surjewala had issued a notice under Rule No. 267 in the Rajya Sabha. In it, he demanded that Question Time be adjourned and the India-China border dispute should be discussed. He also demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should come to the House and submit a report on the matter. However, Harivansh did not accept this request.

Opposition parties: In this case, during question time, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman answered a member’s question about extorting money through some apps. Then, he criticized the opposition parties. Due to this, the angry opposition party members besieged the seat of the vice-president Harvansh and went on a rampage. He then adjourned the meeting.
