Beijing: China has praised the Indian Navy. This praise is being given for saving the life of a Chinese citizen who was struggling between life and death. This Chinese citizen was a crew member of a cargo ship sailing from China. This citizen was seriously injured while passing through the offshore area of India. Due to excessive bleeding, the Chinese cargo ship appealed to the Indian Navy for help. After this, a naval helicopter rescued that Chinese citizen. The patient was taken to the air complex by helicopter and then sent to the hospital for further medical care. Now China is praising this work of the Indian Navy.
What did the Chinese ambassador say
Chinese Ambassador to India Xu Feihong tweeted, “We highly appreciate the Indian Navy for providing emergency medical rescue to the Chinese crew member. The Chinese national is now receiving follow-up treatment. China and India have similar people-first and life-first philosophies.”
Indian Navy gave information about the rescue mission
The Indian Navy said that the Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC), Mumbai received an emergency message from the cargo ship ‘Zhong Shan Men’ 200 nautical miles (about 370 km) from Mumbai on Tuesday. He said that the message informed that a 51-year-old Chinese sailor was seriously injured and bleeding profusely and requested his immediate evacuation.
Navy helicopter carried out rescue operation in bad weather
The officer said that in case of medical emergency, a Sea King helicopter was dispatched from Indian Naval Air Station INS Shikra at 5.50 am. He said, “Despite challenging conditions with winds of more than 83 kmph and heavy sway of the ship and unavailability of clear area on the continuous deck, the patient was successfully evacuated from the ‘bridge wing’ of the ship.”
Indian Coast Guard ship also reached
Indian Coast Guard Ship ‘Samrat’ was also dispatched to the area to provide assistance. The officer said a joint operation coordinated by MRCC (MBI) with the Indian Navy resulted in the timely evacuation of the patient.
