Former Indian cricketer Akash Chopra has predicted that India or Pakistan will advance to the finals of the World Cup.
The World Cup series begins on Sunday, October 16 in Australia. India will open their first match against Pakistan on October 23. Teams India, Pakistan, South Africa and Bangladesh are currently in Group 2. Two more teams will qualify in the qualifiers.
Usually the Indian team is considered as one of the teams to win World Cups. But this year it is not considered as one of the World Cup winning teams as leading players like Bumrah and Jadeja are not in the squad. However, many legends did not exclude the Indian team from their account and mentioned that India will be a threat to various leading teams.
Former India player Akash Chopra had predicted that these four teams would play in the semi-finals. Significantly, it mentioned that only one team, either India or Pakistan, will advance to the semi-finals, which has caught the attention of many. Talking about this, he said,
“Two teams from Group 2, India, Pakistan and South Africa, will go to the semi-finals. Especially since only one of India or Pakistan will advance to the semi-finals. I think South Africa will definitely make it to the finals.
In Group I, Australia and England will go to the semi-finals. These four teams will definitely be in the semi-finals. The Indian team has some setbacks. If we fix it, we can definitely advance to the semi-finals.
