New York: India clarified its position on the Russia-Ukraine war at the UN General Assembly. Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar demanded. He was speaking at the 77th UN General Assembly.

The minister said that India is firmly on the side of peace. We are often asked whose side we are on. Our answer was very honest. India stands firmly on the side of peace – said Jayashankar. He added that India respects the UN and its founding principles.

The war caused the price of food and fuel to rise. Through this, we are on the side of those who are struggling to make ends meet. He therefore said that we need to work constructively within and outside the United Nations to end the war.

Jaishankar, who met Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Schmihal at the UN headquarters this week, made it clear that India’s position is to end all hostilities and return to dialogue and diplomacy. On September 16, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. He told Putin that this is not the age of war.
