Sydney: India has been ranked fourth in the list of most powerful countries in Asia.
Lowe’s annually publishes a list of key countries’ economic capabilities, military capabilities, domestic situation, future planning, economic relations with other countries, security networks, politics, diplomatic influence, and cultural influence.
The United States tops the list. However, the US grip on the Asia-Pacific region is weakening. China’s hold is increasing. India ranks 4th in the list after the US, China and Japan. India has lost 2 points this year over 2020.
It has been reported that India is making less impact than ever before in this sector due to its negative power gap score. However, India has excelled in measuring future resources.
Corona virus is lagging behind India, US and China despite low economic forecast for 2030 due to curfew. It ranks fourth in terms of economic prowess, military prowess and cultural influence.
The Indian economy has been destabilized by the corona. According to the report, Asia’s second most populous country has now moved to the middle power list.
Pakistan are 15th in the list with 14.7 points and Bangladesh are 19th with 9.4 points. Sri Lanka, ranked 20th, has a score of 8.6. Myanmar is 21st with 7.4 points and Nepal is 25th with 4.5 points.
