The Indian cricket team is playing a 5-match T20I series at home against Zimbabwe. By winning the first match of the series, Zimbabwe dethroned India as world champions. But India responded by beating Zimbabwe in the 2nd match, winning by 100 runs to level the series and establish themselves as world champions.
First, India set a target of 235 runs in Harare on 9 July. Abhishek Sharma scored 100, Ruduraj scored 77* and Ringu Singh scored 48*. In the ensuing chase, Zimbabwe played modestly and collapsed for 134 runs.

Jaiswal, Shivam Dubey and Sanju Samson in the Indian squad announced for this series have been delayed to travel to Zimbabwe after completing the 2024 T20 World Cup.
Hence Sai Sudarsan, Harshit Rana and Jitesh Sharma were selected in the Indian squad for the first 2 matches. Sai Sudarsan, who didn’t get a chance to play in the first match, got a chance in the second match much to the delight of Tamil Nadu fans. But he didn’t get a chance to bat as Ruduraj, Abhishek and Ringu batted in that match.
In this case, Jaiswal, Shivam Dubey and Sanju Samson have joined the Indian squad for the Zimbabwe series after completing the 2024 T20 World Cup. Because of this, Sai Sudarsan is forced to leave the Indian team and return to the country. Because he was not selected in the Indian team for the last 3 matches.

He left back to the country with his first game disappointing for Tamil Nadu fans.
