Leading Indian player Laxmia Sen advanced to the final of the India Open Badminton Series in Delhi.

Lakshya Sen, who won bronze at the World Championships, clashed with Malaysian Nick Xi Yang in the semifinals today. Lakshya Sen won the match 19-21 21-16 21-12. He is set to face Singapore’s Lo Keen Yew in tomorrow’s final.

5th seed Lo Keen Yew was due to play Brian Yang of Canada in the semifinals. Brian, however, withdrew from the match due to a sore throat and headache. Thus Lo Keen Yew was declared the winner.
