India prepares to face Chinese threat with INS Visakhapatnam warship

The newly built INS Visakhapatnam warship joined the Indian Navy at a ceremony in Mumbai.

A ceremony to formally integrate the domestically built warship ‘INS Visakhapatnam’ into the Indian Navy was held in Mumbai today. Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh was present and spoke critically about China.

The INS Visakhapatnam warship was built by the Mazagon Dock shipyard in Mumbai under the ‘Made in India’ project. This is a major milestone in the defense industry.

This warship is equipped with modern equipment and facilities. The warship weighs 7400 tons and is equipped with powerful anti-aircraft missiles that cannot be detected by radar. The ship was inaugurated by Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh today. The arrival of this ship is not expected to give additional strength to the Indian Navy as the threat of China in the Indo-Pacific region has increased. Mainly this ship is suitable for wars with nuclear, biological and chemical properties. This is the largest warship ever built in our country.

Speaking on the occasion of the dedication of the INS Visakhapatnam warship to the country, Union Defense Minister Rajnath pointed out to China that some irresponsible countries were violating the international agreement related to maritime affairs. He added that we have all the opportunities to make India a domestic shipyard.
