Vivo V27 is the latest mid-ranger from the company. It was launched in India along with its brother Pro. The smartphone has a unique design that changes color upon contact with direct bright light. Besides its flashy design, the device is well-specified for its price tag, which starts at Rs 32,999. At this price point, there is another device from Vivo’s sub-brand, iQOO, worth considering, the iQOO Neo 7. In this article, we will compare the Vivo V27 with the iQOO Neo 7.
Vivo V27 vs iQOO Neo 7: price in India and availability
The all-new Vivo V27 is selling at a starting price of Rs. 32,999 in India for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model. The 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant will cost Rs 36,999. On the other hand, the iQOO Neo 7 comes at a price of 29,999 rupees in India for the option of 8 GB storage and 128 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM with 256 GB storage is available at 33,999 rupees.
While the iQOO Neo 7 is available for purchase via Amazon and the company’s official website, you will have to wait until March 23 to get your hands on the Vivo V27. The difference between the Indian pricing of the Vivo V27 and iQOO Neo 7 is Rs 4,000, with the V27 being the higher priced one.

Vivo V27 and iQOO Neo 7 are made of very Different subjects. The iQOO Neo 7 has a curved plastic back that houses the company’s logo at the bottom and a square camera island that features a triple camera setup with two lenses tucked into a circular unit while the third sits atop an LED flash.
You get two color options for the iQO Neo 7: Interstellar Black and Frost Blue. It’s a tall smartphone with dimensions of 164.8 x 76.9 x 8.6mm, but it should be easy to hold, weighing just 193g.
While iQOO Neo 7 has simple and sophisticated aesthetics, Vivo V27 takes a completely different approach: the curved glass back panel changes color when exposed to bright light, making it even more distinctive than iQOO Neo 7. It comes in two colors: Noble Black and Magic Blue.
The device has a rectangular camera island on the back, which features a triple camera setup and an LED flash. Although the Vivo V27 is tall with dimensions of 164.1 x 74.8 x 7.4mm, it is a bit lighter, weighing just 180g, and is slimmer overall than the iQOO Neo 7.

The V27 has a 6.78-inch AMOLED curved display with a punch-hole camera mounted at the top of the screen and thin symmetrical edges, while the Neo 7 has It has a flat 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a punch-hole camera in the corner and a thin bezel along with a thick bottom chin.
Both devices support a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, up to 1300 nits brightness, 388ppi pixel density, an under-display fingerprint scanner, and an always-on display if you choose to enable it. Neither of these two devices has any Corning Gorilla Glass protection layer on top.
Programming
Vivo V27 Pro runs Android 13 Funtouch OS 13 out of the box. The company promised two major Android updates and three years of security patches for V27, which means it will get software updates up to Android 15.
Since iQOO is a subsidiary of Vivo, it follows in Vivo’s footsteps closely, which means that iQOO will also bring two major Android OS updates and three years of security patches for Neo 7. The device also runs on Android 13 based Funtouch OS 13. Get software updates up to Android 15.
performance
In the performance department, Vivo V27 draws power from MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC clocked at 2800MHz and manufactured according to a 4nm process. It features Mali-G610 MC4 GPU, 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The chipset scores 7,94,531 points on the AnTuTu benchmark, and on Geenbech, it secures 851 points in the single-core and 2,281 points in the multi-core tests.
On the other hand, iQOO Neo 7 packs a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC clocked at 3100MHz and manufactured according to a 4nm process. It comes with Mali-G610 MC6 GPU, 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage, 2392mm² vapor chamber, and 3D multi-layer graphite cooling systems. The phone scored 8,54,741 points on the AnTuTu benchmark, and in Geenbech, it scored 994 points in the single-core and 3,94 points in the multi-core tests.
Battery and charging
With the Vivo V27, you get a 4,600mAh cell that supports 66W fast charging, which should be enough for a full day of use. The company claims that the 66W charger gives you 50% battery with just 19 minutes of charging. We’ll have to verify that claim, so stay tuned for our in-depth review.
iQOO Neo 7 includes a larger 5,000mAh battery that supports faster charging speed of 120W, which fully charged the device in 27 minutes during testing. The device scored about 18 hours on the PCMark battery test.
Whichever device you choose, they’re two phones that will last all day or more.

Vivo V27 has a 50MP front camera and a triple rear camera setup: a 50MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. On the other hand, you get a 16MP selfie camera and a triple rear camera setup on the iQOO Neo 7: a 64MP primary sensor, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth lens. Vivo V27 can capture up to 4K videos at 60fps, while iQOO Neo 7 maxes out at 4K at 30fps.
Again, without testing the cameras in a real-world scenario, it’s hard to say which phone has better imaging capability just by looking at the number of pixels on both phones. However, the iQOO has a better primary shooter than the V27, which should, at least on paper, result in more detailed images.
