India TV-CNX Poll Predicts Massive Victory for Narendra Modi’s National Democratic Alliance in Lok Sabha Elections

Delhi: According to a recent poll conducted by India TV-CNS, if the Lok Sabha elections were to be held now, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi would secure a massive victory. India TV-CNS jointly conducted a poll on the parliamentary Lok Sabha elections, polling a total of 44,548 Indian voters, comprising 23,871 males and 20,677 females.

The poll results, which were released by India TV, indicate that if the Lok Sabha elections were to take place now based on these projections, the NDA would lead in more seats than the opposition alliance, India. Yesterday, the results for 265 out of the total 543 Lok Sabha constituencies were published, with predictions for the remaining 278 constituencies being released today.

The poll indicates that in various states, such as Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Jharkhand, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, the North Eastern States, Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh, the NDA will win 144 Lok Sabha seats, while India will secure 85 seats. The poll further suggests that other parties have a chance of winning all 36 remaining seats.

According to the poll, the NDA is expected to win 21 out of 25 Lok Sabha seats in Congress-ruled Rajasthan, with the remaining four seats potentially going to the Congress-led India Alliance. In BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh, out of the 29 total seats, the NDA is projected to win 24 seats, while the opposition alliance is predicted to secure the remaining five.

Furthermore, in Tamil Nadu, where there are a total of 39 seats, the DMK-led Indian Alliance is likely to win 30 Lok Sabha seats, while the AIADMK-led BJP alliance is expected to secure nine seats. In Bihar, the BJP-led NDA may win 24 seats, while the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)-led India Alliance could secure 16 Lok Sabha constituencies.

The poll results also suggest that in Andhra Pradesh, out of the 25 constituencies, the ruling Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSR Congress Party is likely to win 18 Lok Sabha seats, whereas Chandrababu Naidu’s Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is expected to secure seven seats. Moreover, it has been reported that the Congress and BJP have no chances of winning any seats in Andhra Pradesh.

The poll conducted by India TV-CNS also emphasizes that in Telangana, Chandrasekhar Rao’s Bharat Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is projected to win nine out of the total 17 Lok Sabha constituencies. In contrast, the NDA may secure six seats, with the opposition alliance securing two seats.

The poll results further suggest that in Delhi, if the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) goes into seat-sharing with the Congress party, the BJP is likely to win five seats, while the All India Alliance may secure the remaining two seats. In AAP-ruled Punjab, if the AAP enters into seat-sharing with the Congress, predictions indicate that the All India Alliance, comprising the Congress and the AAP, could secure all 13 seats, whereas the BJP-led NDA may not win any seats.

In Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, out of the six Lok Sabha constituencies, the NDA is predicted to win three seats, the India Alliance two seats, and other parties one seat each. In Congress-ruled Himachal Pradesh, the BJP-led NDA may win three seats, while the Congress is projected to secure one seat out of the total of four seats.

Furthermore, the poll suggests that out of the total 10 seats in Haryana, the BJP-led NDA is expected to win eight seats, while the India Alliance may secure two seats. Moreover, the BJP-led NDA is expected to win 13 out of the 14 Lok Sabha constituencies in Jharkhand, which is ruled by the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, while the India Alliance is projected to win only one seat.

In Congress-ruled Chhattisgarh, the NDA is likely to win seven out of the 11 Lok Sabha constituencies, while the All India Alliance may secure the remaining four seats. In the northeastern states, the NDA is predicted to win 12 seats out of the total 14 Lok Sabha seats in Assam, while the All India Alliance and the AIUDF are projected to win one seat each.

The poll also suggests that in violence-hit Manipur, the All India alliance could win both Lok Sabha constituencies. Furthermore, it predicts that the NDA may win in other northeastern states including Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, and Sikkim.

As for predictions in other states, India TV has released predictions for 278 seats, including Karnataka, West Bengal, Gujarat, and Uttar Pradesh. So far, predictions for 411 seats out of the total 534 constituencies have been published. The poll results indicate that the BJP-led NDA is expected to win 228 seats, the Congress-led India Alliance may secure 146 seats, and other parties could win 36 seats.

The recent poll also projects that the BJP may win 26 seats in Gujarat, while the Congress is expected to secure 20 seats in Karnataka. In West Bengal, the Trinamool Congress may win 29 seats, and the BJP is projected to win 12 seats. India TV will continue to release predictions for the remaining constituencies, with the full results set to be released tonight.
