India with 15 participants- Dinamani

The Indian weightlifting squad for the Commonwealth Games has been announced with 15 players.

Of these, 7 are in the Adawa category and 8 in the women’s category. Mirabai Sanu, who won silver at the Tokyo Olympics, is one of them.

With the tournament set to begin on July 28 in Birmingham, England, the Indian team will go there a month in advance to train.

India, a strong contender for the Commonwealth Games, won 9 medals in 2018: 5 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze.
