Washington: Terrorist Sikh groups present on US soil are continuously issuing open threats against the Indian Embassy and Consulate. The banned terrorist group Sikh for Justice (SFJ) has announced to siege the Indian Embassy in Washington today on 15 August. SFJ has also written a letter to the US State Department and complained against the newly appointed Indian Ambassador to the US, Vinay Mohan Quatra. The terrorist organization has described the Indian Ambassador as the ‘creator of PM Modi’s international repression policy’. It has also given information about the siege on its social media platform. The banned SFJ has said that it has filed a complaint against the newly appointed Indian Ambassador Quatra under the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations 1961. The complaint organization has made baseless and fabricated allegations that Quatra’s presence violates US sovereignty and endangers the life and freedom of American citizens.

Protest by Indian Ambassador Kwatra

The organization has called Qutra’s presence a threat to the freedom of expression of pro-Khalistan groups in the US. Along with this, he has also been accused of being a participant in violent crimes against Sikhs outside India. Along with this, the terrorist organization has appealed to siege the Indian Embassy in Washington DC on India’s Independence Day, 15 August.

India has extended the ban

Sikh for Justice is an extremist organization. It was founded by Gurpatwant Singh, a Sikh extremist wanted in India. Its objective is to work towards making Punjab a Khalistani country. The Government of India banned this organization for the first time in the year 2019. Many cases are registered against it in India. In July this year, the Union Home Ministry extended the ban on Sikh for Justice for five years for being involved in anti-national activities.
