Tel Aviv. India has issued an advisory for its citizens after the death of an Indian citizen in a missile attack by Hezbollah in Israel. In an advisory issued by the Indian Embassy in Israel, it has been said that in view of the current situation and local security advice, all Indian citizens present in Israel, especially those working in the areas along the northern and southern borders, should move to safe areas. It is advisable to go there. It further said that all are in touch with Israeli authorities for the safety of Indian citizens. Along with this, a 24*7 emergency number has also been issued by the Embassy.
Kerala citizen had died
On Monday, an Indian resident of Kerala was killed in a missile attack by Hezbollah in Israel. Patanibin Maxwell, 31, was a resident of Kollam district of Kerala. He had reached Israel only two months ago. On Monday, he was working in a garden located on the northern border of Israel, where he was hit by a missile fired from Lebanon. According to officials, two other people were injured in the attack.
Rescue service Magen David Adom (MDA) spokesman Zaki Heller told news agency PTI that the missile struck a plantation in Moshav Margaliot in the Galilee region in Israel’s north at around 11 a.m. on Monday. Officials said Maxwell was near the garden when the missile struck the Israeli border. Official sources told PTI that his body was identified at Ziv Hospital. Both the injured are also residents of Kerala. They have been identified as Bush Joseph George, 31, and Paul Melvin, 28. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
