The Indian Street Premier League – T10 is set to kick off, featuring the best local cricketers in India. Using tennis balls instead of traditional cricket balls, this league aims to provide a platform for players to demonstrate their skills and potentially identify the most talented individuals.
In an effort to bridge the gap between street cricket and official leagues, actor Surya recently purchased the Chennai team, showing his support for the grassroots level of the sport. Similarly, actor Ram Charan has acquired the Hyderabad team, receiving praise from Ashish Shelar, Core Committee Member of Indian Street Premier League. Shelar mentioned, “Ram Charan’s purchase of a team in ISPL has created a new dimension in our league. His passion for the game and his cinematic popularity will undoubtedly inspire budding cricketers in Hyderabad.”
The inaugural season of ISPL is scheduled to begin in Mumbai on March 2nd and run until March 9th next year. This season will feature six teams, including Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, and Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir).
