24-year-old Indian student Varun Raj Bucha was tragically murdered in the United States, leaving his family and community in shock and grief. Bucha, who hails from the Kammam district of Telangana, went to America in October 2022 to pursue further studies in computer science at Valparaiso University.
The horrific incident took place on October 29 when Bucha was the victim of a homicidal attack at the university’s fitness center. Despite being rushed to the hospital for treatment, he tragically succumbed to his injuries on November 9.
The perpetrator, identified as fellow student Jordan Andrade, was arrested following the incident. However, the motive behind the senseless act has left authorities baffled. During a police interview, Andrade claimed that he felt threatened by Bucha’s presence in the gym’s massage room, which led him to fatally stab the young student.
The shocking and seemingly unfounded reason given by Andrade has left law enforcement reeling as they continue to investigate the tragic events that led to the death of Bucha.
