Russia’s war on Ukraine, an Eastern European country, on February 20 is still ongoing. When the war was at its peak, the central government safely rescued 20,000 Indian students who were studying medicine there in March. Due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, these students have been studying online for more than six months.
Meanwhile, students who have returned from Ukraine have been protesting, demanding an opportunity to continue their studies in medical colleges in India. Cases related to this are also pending in the courts.
However, the central government is saying that ‘students studying in foreign universities are not allowed to continue their medical studies in universities and colleges in India.’ This has created confusion for students from India.
