Indian woman stabbed to death in London flat, Brazilian youth arrested as suspect

London: An Indian woman was stabbed to death in a flat in Neild Crescent, Wembley. London Metropolitan Police arrested a Brazilian living in the same flat. Kontham Tejaswini Reddy (27), a native of Hyderabad, who is studying in London, was killed.

Apart from Tejaswini, her friend Akhila (28) was also stabbed. They are under treatment. Another person has been arrested along with a 23-year-old Brazilian in connection with the incident. They lived in a flat with a communal kitchen. Police officials said that the Brazilian youth was taken into custody on suspicion of murder.

The police received information about the stabbing of young women at a flat in Wembley at around 10 o’clock on Tuesday morning. When the police arrived with an ambulance, the young women were lying in a pool of blood. Despite emergency treatment, Tejaswini died on the spot. The 28-year-old woman was immediately shifted to the hospital. It is reported that their injuries are not serious. Apart from the Brazilian, another young man and a young woman were taken into custody from the scene. However, the police released the woman as she was not involved in the incident.

Tejaswini came to London in March last year for her postgraduate studies. Studied at Nottingham University. She was a native of Champapet, Hyderabad and lived with her friends.
