During the inauguration of the new EV charging station, Abhijeet Sinha, National Project Director for the Ease of Doing Business Program and National Highway for Electric Vehicle (NHEV), said: “After the first EV charging station built in Sector 52, This is the second prototype station to be built in the next 30 days. Within the next 60 days, 2 stations of similar size will be set up on the Delhi-Agra e-Highway in Noida. He added that 30 more e-highway charging stations will be built within 90 days from the date allotted to public sector companies / private companies.

“Now with 72 per cent usage, these charging stations are commercially and technically competitive with petrol pumps and can charge 1,000 cars (in a single day) at the new station and 576 cars at Sector 52 station (in a single day),” Sinha said.
These simple prototypes have proven that NHEV’s e-highway stations are world-class and will further strengthen commercial e-mobility on Indian highways, ”he said.
