Islamabad: Indications are that Pakistan is moving towards strict Sharia law. According to reports, the Pakistani government is preparing to take away women’s suffrage and other freedoms. In the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa region, there is a growing demand for the exclusion of women from public life. With this, the public sector is expressing concern that various parts of Pakistan are falling prey to hardline fundamentalists.
