Indices fell on last working day, trading decreased

The last working day of trading in the capital market this week was Thursday (August 15) and the trading started with the decline of the index in Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchange (DSE-CSE). Besides, on this day, DSE and CSE transactions have decreased compared to the previous working day. At the same time, the prices of the shares of most of the companies participating in the transactions in DSE and CSE and mutual fund units fell.

According to DSE and CSE sources, at the end of the day, the main index of DSE, DSEX, is down 48.93 points from the previous day at 5,903 points. The DSE Shariah index fell by 5.62 points to 1,264 points and the DS30 index fell by 17.69 points to 2,179 points.

A total of 398 shares and units of companies were traded on DSE. Among them, the share and unit prices of 91 companies increased, 275 decreased and 32 remained unchanged.

A total of 999 crores and 1 lakh shares and units were traded in DSE on this day. 1 thousand 243 crore 98 lakh shares and units were traded on the previous working day.

On the other hand, Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) CSCX index is down by 73.45 points at 10 thousand 251 points. Overall index CASPI decreased by 120.12 points to 17 thousand 21 points, Sharia index decreased by 6.74 points to 1 thousand 80 points and CSE30 index decreased by 65.99 points to 13 thousand 302 points.

Shares and units of 247 companies were traded on CSE. Among them, the share and unit prices of 55 companies increased, 179 decreased and 13 remained unchanged.

At the end of the day, shares and units of Tk 10 crore 74 lakh were traded in CSE. Shares and units worth Tk 18.13 crore were traded on the previous working day.
