Riyadh: Indigenization of new areas in Saudi Arabia from 11 April. Indigenization comes in occupations in the healthcare, medical device manufacturing and distribution sectors. About 60 per cent of the repatriation is being done by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in the laboratory, X-ray, physiotherapy, medical and nutrition occupations.
The minimum wage for domestic specialists in these occupations is set at 7,000 riyals and for technicians at 5,000 riyals. Those earning less than this will not be considered as Saudi employees in companies and will not be included in the repatriation ratio.
