Inditex acquire through its network of suppliers the first 2,000 tons available from fiber produced from Circuloseproduced by the Swedish company Renewcell from textile waste, as reported by the Galician group.

Through an agreement with the fiber producer Tanshang Sanyouwhich carries out the industrial process of transforming pulp into textile fiber, Inditex suppliers will acquire the first 2,000 tons of raw material produced from a mixture of Circulose and cellulose from sustainably managed forests.

Renewcell has launched the first industrial-scale plant for the production of Circulose, an innovative textile pulp produced from recycled cotton waste through a chemical process.

As part of its plans for the gradual introduction of this material, Inditex will continue incorporating this pulp 100% recycled to its fabrics in upcoming campaigns through its extensive network of suppliers, according to Europa Press.

Inditex has stressed that the incorporation of this new fiber to its offer is part of the path set by the group to fulfill its commitment to only use textile fibers with a lower impact on the environment in 2030, with at least a 25% new generation fibers that currently have no industrial development and also in line with the Canopy commitment to promote new generation fibers for cellulose fibers.
