Gazprom-Media acquired 100% in Kvant, having bought 49% from MaximaTelecom. Kvant collects big data for targeting advertising and sells it on city Wi-Fi networks and on the media holding’s mobile sites. The latter is more in need of technology for targeting in a digital environment than access to a Wi-Fi audience that migrates to cellular networks, experts say. However, they doubt the effectiveness of Kvant’s business model in the current conditions and recommend that Gazprom-Media enter spaces where, in addition to advertising, content can be sold. …
