A Sumatran tiger attacked and injured two farmers in Indonesia on Wednesday, the second such attack in as many days, and authorities vowed to capture the animal.
The attack took place in a protected forest reserve in Aceh province, north of the island of Sumatra, during the early hours of the morning.

Sumatran tigers, coveted for their body parts, are considered critically endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature, with less than 400 in the wild.

Wednesday’s attack caused serious injuries to the heads, hands and feet of farmers, a local conservation agency reported AFP.
