Ministry of Information and Communications Indonesia (Kominfo) on August 4 announced that the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit will be held in Jakarta from September 5-7.
According to the Vietnam News Agency correspondent in Jakarta, the Director General of Information and Mass Communication Usman Kansong said that Kominfo will establish a press center with a capacity of 2,500 people on the premises of the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) to serve this important event.

The capacity of this press center is considered based on the estimated number of journalists registered to report 43rd ASEAN Summit.
The press center will be open from 8 to 22 hours daily from September 2-8, or 24/24 in case of necessity. This facility will be equipped with 240 computers with high-speed Internet connection, an international broadcasting center, and a room for media partners.
Kominfo will also prepare small press conference rooms and a large press conference room with a capacity of 300 people, along with a medical room.
The ministry is committed to maximizing the facilitation of journalism, as at the Group of 20 Summit of the World’s Leading Developed and Emerging Economies (G20) in Bali in 2022.
