jpnn.comJAKARTA – Alternativa Film Project, a global non-profit film initiative founded by international technology company inDrive will hold the second edition of the nomadic Alternativa Film Awards.

The event aims to recognize the social impact of emerging film industries in Indonesia. The event will be held in late November 2024.

In addition, as part of the expanded program in 2024, at the same time a new festival and awards event will be launched in Indonesia which will screen all selected films from the nominees.

Indonesia was chosen as the next country to host the Alternativa Film Project after its success in the first edition in 2023, which was held in Kazakhstan.

In the upcoming second edition, the project expands its focus to the Indonesian and Southeast Asian markets.

Registration for this award event will open on June 17, 2024, inviting filmmakers from all over Asia to submit works in the form of feature films, documentaries, animations, and mixed films to compete.

The Alternative Film Project Winners will be selected by an International Jury consisting of directors and producers of films from Asia and beyond as well as community leaders and representatives from NGOs.

The Alternativa Film Awards serve as a tool to support the development of the local film industry by celebrating filmmakers from the community.
